Amy & Chris: Texas Courthouse Wedding – www.katepease.com

When Amy called me to inquire about wedding photography for her courthouse wedding, I couldn’t get to the phone right away, but called her right back. When I called her back, I said “Hi Amy! Did I catch you at a good time?” She said “Yes, I’m just teaching 5th period English right now. Say Hi everybody!” And from her middle school English class I heard an enthusiastic “HHIIII!!!!!” It made my day, and gave me a perma-grin. She said “I told my students you’d be calling, and it was important and I had to take the call…they’re working on assignments right now.” It was a great start to getting to know Amy and Chris.

I loved everything about Amy and Chris’s courthouse wedding. I love it because when it boils down to it, making the commitment and love you share official is what really matters, which is exactly what was highlighted on their wedding day. Everyone who they love the most was able to be there, and it was such a great afternoon. It was extra special having their kids there to witness their union. The cherry on top of the day was going back to the restaurant where they had their first date and re-create a photo taken on their first date. Talk about full circle am I right!?
