It was such a tremendeous blessing and honor to photograph Tessa and Dusty’s destination wedding in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. The Excellence Resort was a beautiful setting.  Tessa and Dusty love to travel together so a destination wedding was the perfect choice for their wedding. They decided not to go with a resort photographer (which can be a gamble), and instead bring myself and my husband Brant as my second shooter to capture their wedding day. It was important to them to have the wedding photos reflect their style and personalities. Having the chance to get to know Tessa and Dusty before the wedding gave us the opportunity to capture photos authentic to them and their love story. One of the best parts of photographing their wedding is we felt like we really got to know all of their family and friends who they love so much. And in the end, they all made us feel like family too. We are honored to have taken part in it all.

 Photographing the details is one of my absolute favorite parts of the day.Tessa’s dress is a one of a kind. Her best friend Ashlee (who’s wedding I photographed last fall) is a fashion designer and designed the dress custom for Tessa.We loved having the opportunity to have plenty of time to scout the resort before the wedding day to find the most beautiful backdrops for their bride and groom portraits. The outdoor poolside reception was absolutely beautiful.Heartfelt toasts were given…And of course they partied into the night.Congratulations Tessa & Dusty!!!
