I’m thrilled to see this Fine Art film editorial I spearheaded with Ashley at Chic and Pretty Events is featured on the beautiful Wedding Sparrow today!

Here in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, we have an amazing community of film photographers. Together we collaborate with a team of incredible vendors with a fine art vision and do film only editorials several times a year. One of us will work on the vision of the editorial with the stylist and planner and invite the others to come along and photograph it. We see it as a chance to raise the standard of our local industry and work together to make each other stronger. One of my favorite sayings is “a rising tide raises all ships” and that’s what we seek to achieve in collaborating together. Community always wins over competition.

On the styling of the inspiration shoot, stylist and planner Ashley said“Inspired by a dance between modern and chic refinement, this sculpture garden was the perfect backdrop. Midnight, fig and caramel was a dreamy fall palette to design with. We played with velvet in the paper suite and ribbons with blind embossing them and are still swooning over what Letter Love Studio produced. The charger plates had these distressed-like edges that favored the table perfectly too.

Pairing soft and gritty textures makes styling more interesting and draws you in more to the details. The organic florals leaned into deep tones and alluring structural lines which looked amazing in the bouquet against her sleek Sarah Seven gown. And what guy doesn’t look stellar in a bowtie? A velvet one just made it even better. Loved every bit of this collaboration and the creative team that worked together.”
